Miss Anne-Rutledge Coleman Lautares and Mr. John Wilheit Kacos were united in marriage at 5:30 p.m. April 6, 2013, at Wesley Methodist Church in St. Simons Island, Ga. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Laurie Coleman Lautares and retired Lt. Cmdr. Peter George Lautares II of Florence, S.C. The groom is the son of Mrs. Eve Wilheit Kacos and Mr. Mark Stephen Kacos of St. Simons Island.

The Rev. John E. Stephens performed the ceremony. Miss Beth Humber presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride’s sister Mrs. Michael Andrew Jeffords of Florence, S.C., and bride’s friend Mrs. Scott Justin Poag of Greenville, N.C., were matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride’s friends Miss Mallory Katherine Cook of Chicago, Miss Mary Grace Howard of Charleston, S.C., and Mrs. Andrew Stueber White of Lexington, S.C., and the groom’s sister Miss Julia Eve Kacos of New York City.

The groom’s brother Dr. Benjamin Mark Kacos of Shreveport, La., was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom’s friends Mr. Edward Douglas Puckett IV of Augusta, Mr. Christopher Laurin Jones of Hartsville, S.C., Mr. John Gibson Nalley of Raleigh, N.C., Mr. Samuel Allen Tostensen of St. Simons Island, and Mr. Justin Deric Morris of St. Simons Island.

The bride wore her mother’s wedding veil.

The groom’s parents gave a rehearsal dinner at The King and Prince Hotel in St. Simons Island on the eve of the wedding.

The bride’s parents gave a reception at Village Creek Landing in St. Simons Island following the ceremony.

Following a honeymoon to St. Lucia, the couple reside in St. Simons Island.
