Ashleigh and Brian Kovach

Ashleigh Suzanne Kubitz and Brian James Kovach were united in marriage at 2 p.m. May 24, 2014, at First Baptist Church in Gainesville. The bride is the daughter of Susan Kubitz of Gainesville and the late Frank Kubitz. The groom is the son of Larry and Kathy Kovach of Jesup.

The Rev. Bill Coates performed the ceremony. Organist Della Ruth Johnson presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her mother and her brother, Matt Kubitz. The bride’s best friend Jennifer Carney of Gainesville was matron of honor. The bride’s best friend Jessica Seabolt of Gainesville was maid of honor. The groom’s sister Laura Kovach of Valdosta was a bridesmaid. The maid of honor’s daughter Marlee Seabolt of Gainesville was the flower girl.

The groom’s father was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom’s friends Brent Cole of Jackson, Miss., Steven Hayes of Rincon, Brian Crawford of Brunswick, and Justin Franks of Jesup, and the bride’s brother Matt Kubitz of Gainesville. The groom’s cousin Reavis Barnes of Waycross was the ring bearer.

Jamie Collins was the wedding coordinator. Cindy Kovach kept the bride’s book.

The bride carried a locket with her father’s picture in it attached to her bouquet. A blue heart with her father’s initials was sewn into the left side of the bride’s gown. The bride’s veil was borrowed from her best friend.

The groom’s parents gave a rehearsal dinner at Poor Richard’s in Gainesville on the eve of the wedding.

The bride and her family gave a reception at the banquet hall of First Baptist Church in Gainesville following the ceremony.

Following a honeymoon to Riviera Maya in Cancun, Mexico, the couple reside in Gainesville.
