Whitley Brianne Jones and Matthew Todd Miller were united in marriage at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 20, 2014, at Gainesville First United Methodist Church in Gainesville. The bride is the daughter of Edward and Joyce Jones of Gainesville, and the granddaughter of Earle W. Jr. and Lynn Darby of Gainesville, and Jackie Jones of Gainesville and the late Cecil E. Jones Jr. The groom is the son of Randall and Rita Rylee of Gainesville, and Todd and Dora Miller of Gainesville, and is the grandson of the late David and Hettie Souther, and the late Owida Beatty.

The Rev. Terry Walton performed the ceremony. Pianist Michelle Alexander, violinist Anna Bennett, guitarist and soloist Mickey Carroll, soloists Alex Halstead, Mike Darby and Beth Gaither, guitarists Ethan Souther and Johnny Gaither, and  mandolinist Kevin Stradley presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her parents. The bride’s sister Kelly Jones of Gainesville was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride’s friends Kaylan Bradley of Gainesville, Brittany Churchill of Seattle, Wash., Kayla English of Gainesville, Whitney Fifer of Gainesville, Alex Halstead of Atlanta and Wendy Watson of Gainesville, and the bride’s sister-in-law Angel Jones of Richmond, Va. Family friend Jaelyn McPhaul of Gainesville was the flower girl.

The groom’s brother Russell Miller of Gainesville was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom’s friends Ryan Avery, Parker Camp, Scott Livingston, Ethan Souther and Kevin Stradley, all of Gainesville, and the bride’s brother Griffin Jones of Richmond, Va. The bride’s cousin Cash Gaither of Charlotte, N.C., was the ring bearer.

Crevolyn Wiley of Wonderful Events and Celebrations was the wedding coordinator.

The bride wore her mother’s garter and pearl bracelet, and carried lace from her wedding dress around her bouquet.

Randall and Rita Rylee gave a rehearsal dinner at the Chattahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville on the eve of the wedding.

The bride’s parents gave a reception at The Arts Council Smithgall Arts Center in Gainesville following the ceremony.

Following a honeymoon to Jamaica, the couple reside in Gainesville.

Regional events
