BreAnna Leigh Irvin and Scott Michael Brown were united in marriage at 4 p.m. Jan. 26, 2008, at Redwine United Methodist Church in Gainesville. The bride is the daughter of Jerry and Melissa Abernathy Irvin of Gainesville. The groom is the son of Michael and Barbara Brown of South Bend, Ind., and the late Carol Brown.
The Rev. J. Michael Pinson performed the ceremony. Pianist Lisa Stewart Bassett, vocalist Carolyn Moore Craddock and guitarist Josh Craddock presented a program of wedding music.
The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride's friend Kristian Lanell Kelley of Gainesville was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride's friends Miranda Gale Richards of Athens, and Emily Kutay Gillum and Amy Caroline Kelley, both of Gainesville. The groom's friends Valhalla and Erin Tyson, both of Lawrenceville were the flower girls.
The groom's friends Lelyn Tyson of Auburn and James Eric Hampton of Lawrenceville were the best men. Groomsmen were the groom's friends Brian Timothy Phillips of Jefferson and Eric Michael Carpenter of Hayesville. Ushers were Zachary Glenn Abernathy of Gainesville and Bryan Dell Williams of Cumming. Jane Owens was the wedding coordinator. Christina Abernathy Downing kept the bride's book.
The bride wore a blue garter given to her by her aunt, wedding rings that belonged to her late grandmothers and a pearl necklace and bracelet given to her by her aunt and uncle. She carried a sachet that held a sixpence passed down from her parent's wedding.
The bride and groom gave a rehearsal dinner at Redwine United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in Gainesville on the eve of the wedding.
The bride's parents gave a reception at Royal Lakes Country Club in Flowery Branch following the ceremony.
Following a wedding trip to Whitehouse, Jamaica, the couple reside in Lawrenceville.
