Meredith Alaine Hulsey and Aaron Matthew King were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Jan. 9, 2010, at Westside Baptist Church in Gainesville. The bride is the daughter of Bobby and Aletha Hulsey of Gainesville. The groom is the son of Rod and Terri King of Oxford.
The bride's brother-in-law the Rev. Kevin Shockley performed the ceremony. Pianist Andrew Hayes, harpist Elizabeth Bennett, strings Ian and Trey Bennett and Carla and Megan Ganyard, and vocalists Willette Bennett, Dale Boleman, Erin Mattox and Courtney Simmons presented a program of wedding music.
The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride's sister Carrie Shockley of Gainesville was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were the groom's sister Erica King of Covington, the bride's friends Karla Lee of Gainesville and Sherry Savage of Cornelia. The bride's friend Olivia Sexton of Buford was the flower girl.
The groom's father was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom's friend Chris Hayes of Rome and the groom's cousin Josh Ketron of Blountville, Tenn. The bride's nephew Luke Shockley of Gainesville was the ring bearer. Carol Duncan was the wedding coordinator. Julie Boleman kept the bride's book.
The bride carried a locket in her bouquet that was worn by her maternal grandmother on her wedding day.
The groom's parents gave a rehearsal dinner at Mountain View Baptist Fellowship Hall in Gainesville on the eve of the wedding.

Following a honeymoon to St. Simons Island and New Smyrna Beach, Fla., the couple resides in Griffin.
