Miss Natalie Marie Hughs and Mr. Charles Wilson Kinard were united in marriage at 6:30 p.m. May 29, 2010, at First Baptist Church in Gainesville. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Johnson Hughs of Gainesville. The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Harry Wilson Kinard of Spartanburg, S.C.

The Rev. Dan Terrell Hughs and Mr. Daniel Jeremy Marcone performed the ceremony. Violinists Carolyn Jones and Allison Bates, violist Carol Harris and cellist Stephanie Dickerson presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride’s cousin Miss Anne Bleakley Hughs of Gainesville was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride’s friends Miss Elizabeth Bennett Brown of Clemson, S.C. Miss Catherine Suzanne Davis of Spartanburg, Miss Heather Michelle Dixon of Gainesville; the groom’s sister Mrs. Katherine Kinard Gouch of Greenville, S.C.; the bride’s friends Miss Jennifer Lane Greene of Gainesville, Miss Katherine Abigail Greer of Lula, Miss Catherine Louisa Kearns of Gainesville; the groom’s sister Miss Courtney Blaylock Kinard of Charlotte, N.C. and the bride’s friends Miss Callie Elizabeth Martin of Gainesville and Miss Amanda Giles Pouch of Greenville, S.C. Honorary bridesmaids were Miss Amanda Lee Cone and Miss Irene Elizabeth Nettles, both of Spartanburg, Miss Kristin Virginia King of Columbia, S.C. and Miss Sally Elizabeth Martin of Clemson, S.C. The groom’s niece Miss Caroline Lucile Gouch of Greenville, S.C., was the flower girl.

The groom’s brother Mr. Andrew Kenton Kinard of Spartanburg was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom’s friends Mr. Russell Bailey Calicutt, Mr. Miller Gwynn Cornelson, Mr. Howell Julius Foster III, all of Spartanburg, The groom’s brothers-in-law Mr. Charles David Gouch of Greenville, S.C. and Mr. John Edward Griffith of Summerville, S.C.; the bride’s brothers Mr. Brian Thomas Hughs and Master Nathan Terrell Hughs, both of Gainesville; the groom’s friends Mr. Kevin Benjamin Jett of Lexington, S.C., Mr. James Burr Scofield of Summerville, S.C. and Mr. Preston Woodrow Willard of Spartanburg. The groom’s nephew Master Charles David Gouch Jr. of Greenville, S.C., was the ring bearer.

Mrs. Ann Bachman and Mrs. Amy Johnson were the wedding coordinators.

The groom’s parents gave a rehearsal dinner at the Arts Council Depot in Gainesville on the eve of the wedding.

The bride’s parents gave a reception at the Chattahoochee Country Club in Gainesville following the ceremony.

Following a honeymoon to Peter Island, Caribbean, the couple reside in Greenville, S.C.
