Mrs. Mary Kathryn Masden

Miss Mary Kathryn Holbrook and Mr. William Henry Masden III were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Oct. 10, 2010, at the home of the bride's parents at the North Carolina Baptist Assembly in Oak Island, N.C. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard M. Holbrook of Oak Island, N.C. The groom is the son of Mrs.Catherine Masden and the late Mr. William Masden II of Gulfport, Miss.

The Rev. Buddy Freeman performed the ceremony. Pianist and soloist Mrs. Janet Murray, violinist Mrs. Jane Tierney, cellist Mr. John Illingworth and flutist Mrs. Janet Porterfield presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her parents. Miss Heidi Peters of Bluemont, Va., was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Kristin Canady of Raleigh, N.C., and Mrs. Amy Staley of Flowery Branch. Miss Alli Mullinax of Flowery Branch was the flower girl.

Mr. Joe Renta of Marietta was the best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Seth Holbrook, brother of the bride, of Oak Island, N.C., along with Mr. Dan McCrary of Mountain Brook, Ala., and Mr. Rusty Rushton of Gulfport, Miss.

Mrs. India Cofer served as wedding coordinator. Mrs. Donna Maynor was the wedding director. The bride's cousin Mrs. Whitney Lipscomb kept the bride's book.

The bride carried a handkerchief that belonged to her grandfather the late Rev. BR Holbrook.

The bride's parents gave a rehearsal dinner at their home on the eve of the wedding along with a reception immediately following the ceremony on the day of the wedding.

Following a honeymoon to Belize, the couple will reside in Gainesville.
