Jessica “Jessa” Lauren Hokayem and William “Will” Curtis Wright Jr. were united in marriage at 7 p.m. June 21, 2014, at Ashford Manor in Watkinsville. The bride is the daughter of George Anthony and Martha Benner Hokayem of Gainesville, and the granddaughter of Louise Dorn Benner of Raleigh, N.C., and the late Joseph Abner Benner Jr., and Beatrice Louis Hokayem of Gainesville and the late Joseph Milad Hokayem. The groom is the son of William Curtis and Beverley Baugh Wright of Evans, and the grandson of the late Frederick Henry Jr. and Margaret Smith Baugh, and the late George William and Ann Chillingworth Wright.

Minister Matthew Lorish performed the ceremony. Pianist Joey Hokayem, guitarist Joel Passmore, violinist Miriam Bott, and vocalist Michelle Alexander presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride’s sister Janna Hokayem Roy of Gainesville was matron of honor. Friend of the bride and groom Christine Madden Smither of Richmond, Va., was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the groom’s sisters Kathryn Wright Key of Greenville, S.C., Lindsey Ann Edwards of Greenville, S.C., Melissa Leigh Wright of Charlotte, N.C., and Virginia Ellen Lacher of Evans. The groom’s nieces Ansley Kathryn Key and Charlotte Emeline Key, both of Greenville, S.C., were the flower girls.

The groom’s brother-in-law Randolph Sims Key Jr. of Greenville, S.C., was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom’s brothers-in-law Jason Allen Edwards of Greenville, S.C., and Robert Andrew Lacher of Evans, the bride’s brother-in-law Isaac Alexander Roy of Gainesville, and the bride’s brothers George Louis Hokayem and Joseph David Hokayem, both of Gainesville. The groom’s nephew Wright Allen Edwards of Greenville, S.C., was the ring bearer.

Crevolyn Wiley and Lori Winkler were the wedding coordinators. Zach Lykins, Molly Boyd, David Nakano and Lydia Cromey were readers. James Miller Davis III, Michael Benjamin Davis, Samuel Edward Scott, Benjamin David Spickard and Scott Timothy Spickard, all cousins of the bride, were greeters.

The bride wore earrings belonging to her grandmother.

The groom’s parents gave a rehearsal dinner at Ashford Manor in Watkinsville on the eve of the wedding.

Following a honeymoon to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, the couple reside in Richmond, Va.
