Sandra Gordy and Sam Massell were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Sept. 21, 2016, at the groom’s home in Atlanta.

The bride is the daughter of the late Gladys and Jeff Gordy of Gainesville. The groom is the former mayor of Atlanta.

The Rev. Sam Candler and Rabbi Peter Berg performed the ceremony.

The bride wore a diamond necklace that belonged to her mother.
