Alexandra and John Thompson

Alexandra Alyse Fuller and John Alexander Thompson were united in marriage at 6 p.m. June 22, 2013, at the North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh, N.C. The bride is the daughter of Kirk K. and Linda B. Fuller of Cary, N.C. The groom is the son of John P. and Terry T. Thompson of Gainesville.

Pastor Mark Blanton performed the ceremony. Members of the North Carolina Symphony, Celtic harpist Anita Burroughs-Price and violinist Mara Shea, presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride’s sister Catherine Fuller of Raleigh, N.C., was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride’s friends Bethany Remington of Madrid, Spain, Beth Baker of Cary, N.C., Nancy King of South Mills, N.C., and Sydney Jones Joyner of Chapel Hill, N.C., and the groom’s sister LetaAnn Thompson of Lawrenceville. The bride’s family friend Andria Shafer of Cary, N.C., was a special attendant.

The groom’s friend Jordan Byers of Atlanta was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom’s friends Vassa Falls of Richlands, N.C., Brett Barger of Dahlonega, Alex Julian of Cumming, Kristopher Snyder of Morrisville, N.C., and Kevin Grubb of Gainesville. The bride’s godson Daniel Remington of Belmont, N.C. was a special attendant.

Morgan Greer was the wedding coordinator.

The bride carried her great-grandmother’s handkerchief tucked in her bouquet and wore her grandmother’s pearl necklace.

The groom’s parents gave a rehearsal dinner at Pullen Park in Raleigh, N.C., on the eve of the wedding.

The bride’s parents gave a reception at the Iris Cafe at the North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh, N.C., following the ceremony.

Following a honeymoon to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, the couple will reside in Atlanta.
