Courtney Brooke Emmett and Matthew Joseph Young were united in marriage at 7:30 p.m. May 29, 2009, at Primrose Cottage in Roswell. The bride is the daughter of Michael E. and Sandra Emmett of Cumming. The groom is the son of Joseph S. and Judith Young of Cumming.

The Rev. Matthew Brinkley performed the ceremony. Organist Lisa Gaal presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her parents. The bride's sister Jennifer Emmett of Cumming was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride's friends Rachel O'Keefe of West Harwich, Mass., Karen Monk of Roswell, and Amanda Morrow of Carrollton; and the groom's sister Amy Young of Cumming.

The groom's brother Michael Young of Cumming was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom's friends Justin Woelk of Cumming, Justin Carroll of Carrollton, Bo Brawner of Birmingham, Ala., and Daniel Jarvis of Carrollton.

The bride carried a bouquet with lace from her mother's bridal gown.

The groom's parents gave a rehearsal dinner at Windermere Golf Club on the eve of the wedding.

The bride's parents gave a reception at Primrose Cottage in Roswell following the ceremony.

Following a honeymoon to Sandals Whitehouse Resort in Jamaica, the couple reside in Newnan.
