Heather Ashley Ellis and Patrick Bonner Blalock were united in marriage at 6 p.m. May 15, 2010, at Central United Methodist Church in Asheville, N.C. The bride is the daughter of Norman Millard and Judy Ellis Adams of Dahlonega and the late Joseph "Jody" Ellis. The groom is the son of William Harold Jr. and Diane Derrick Blalock of Gainesville.

The Rev. David Lynn Smith performed the ceremony. Violinist Rubin Orgeno and guitarist Robert Anders presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her mother and stepfather. The bride's sister Faith Ellis Turner of Murrayville was matron of honor. The bride's friends Erin Danielle Papka of Atlanta and Lindsey Blevins Lark of Canton were maids of honor. Bridesmaids were the groom's sister Allison Diane Blalock of Braselton, the bride's friends Kati Brown Mize of Greensboro, Whitney Brooks Rice of Asheville, and the groom's sister-in-law Donna Marie Blalock of Gainesville. The bridesman was the bride's friend Alan Joseph Schuetze of Gainesville. The bride's nephew Joseph Clay Turner of Murrayville was the flower carrier.

The groom's father was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom's brother William Harold Blalock III of Gainesville, the groom's friends James Casey Silcox of Gainesville, Andrew Stephen Dyer of Savannah, Russell Douglas White of Avon, Colo., William Spencer Connell of Mount Pleasant, S.C., James Ross Davis and Harry Britt Lotheridge, both of Atlanta, Matthew Freeman Brass of Augusta and Julian Allen Tison Lewis of Denver, Colo. The bride's nephew Joshua Melvin Turner of Murrayville was the ring bearer. Steven Cordy Rogers was the wedding coordinator. Program attendants were Jessica Childress and Heather Wheeler.

The bride wore a diamond pendant made from the engagement ring the bride's father gave to her mother.

The groom's parents gave a rehearsal dinner at Lioncrest at Biltmore Estate in Asheville on the eve of the wedding.

The bride's parents gave a reception at The Venue in Asheville following the ceremony.

Following a honeymoon to Mexico, the couple reside in Asheville.
