Sheila Michelle Cantrell and Cedric DeAnthony Gaither were united in marriage at 3 p.m. July 21, 2007, at Greater Timberidge Baptist Church in Gainesville. The bride is the daughter of Joyce Moon and Benny Banks of Gainesville and Willie Holder of Athens and the late Mamie Lou Holder. The groom is the son of Mary Gaither of Monroe and the late William Gaither.

The Rev. L.C. Teasley Sr. performed the ceremony. Pianist Tryone Harrison, bass guitarist Edward Long, percussionist and vocalist Vodus Norman and vocalists Edward Cantrell, Levenia Marlow and Cedric Gaiter presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride’s daughter Toccara Cantrell of Gainesville was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride’s sister Sabrina Rogers of Gainesville, and the bride’s friends Emma Vinson of Monroe and Christy Camp of Gainesville. The bride’s cousin Azhah Jackson of Gainesville was the flower girl.

The groom’s cousin Kevin Gaither of Monroe was the best man. Groomsmen were the bride’s brother George Holder of Gainesville, the groom’s brother Adolphus Gaither of Social Circle and the bride’s son Edward Cantrell of Gainesville. The groom’s nephew Omandrea Gaither of Social Circle was the ring bearer.

The bride and groom gave a rehearsal dinner at Greater Timberidge Baptist Church in Gainesville on the eve of the wedding.

The bride and groom gave a reception at the Greater Timberidge Baptist Church in Gainesville following the ceremony. Leanne Ross prepared the food for the reception. Ushers were Taurus Cockfield, Timothy Rucker, Kenny Bolden and Yasphet Marlow. Dorthy Bolden, Sonia Rucker and Jackie Norman were servers. Bertha Martin was the wedding coordinator.Toccara Cantrell kept the bride’s book.

Following a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple resides in Gainesville.
