Elizabeth Jean Barrett and Louis Daniel Thompson were united in marriage at 7 p.m. June 20, 2009, at Washington Square in Savannah. The bride is the daughter of Sonya Barrett of Gainesville. The groom is the son of Lawrence and Suzanne Thompson of Savannah.
The Rev. Howard Bledsoe performed the ceremony. Vocalist Kathy Kelley and violinist Fred Deuyatkin presented a program of wedding music.
The bride was presented in marriage by her grandfather Jimmy Garrett of Gainesville. The bride's friend Julie Cox Mullally of Atlanta was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride's friends Lindy MacPhee, Jessica Robbins, Emily Bullard and Kari Murrow, all of Atlanta. The groom's nieces Hannah and Emily Thompson of Savannah were the flower girls.
The groom's father was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom's brother Tim Thompson of Savannah and the groom's friends Guy Davidson, Neil McKennzie and Brad Considine, all of Savannah, and Dan Deloah of Savannah.
Amy Pinckney was the wedding coordinator.
The bride carried her grandmother's handkerchief and wore her mother's garter.
The groom's parents gave a rehearsal dinner at Isle of Hope Marina in Savannah on the eve of the wedding.
The bride's mother gave a reception at Knights of Columbus in Savannah following the ceremony.
Following a honeymoon to St. Lucia, West Indies, the couple reside in Savannah.
