Shannon Faye Baker and Jeremy David Hummel were united in marriage at 5:30 p.m. June 22, 2008, at Corinth Baptist Church in Gainesville. The bride is the daughter of Donald and Judy Baker of Gainesville. The groom is the son of Jerry and Elaine Hummel of Gainesville.

The Rev. Michael Kirby performed the ceremony. Vocalist Tammy Baker and saxophonist Robbie Morgan presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The groom's daughter Brooke Hummel of Gainesville was the bridesmaid. The bride's daughter Savannah Greene of Gainesville was the flower girl.

The bride's son Landon Greene of Gainesville was the ring bearer. Ushers were Terry Baker, Clay Baker, Jon Sell and Evan Thurman.

Tammy Baker was the wedding coordinator. Katie and Emily Baker assisted.

The groom's parents gave a rehearsal dinner at Wylie's Restaurant in Dahlonega on the eve of the wedding.

The bride's parents gave a reception at Corinth Baptist Church in Gainesville following the ceremony.

Following a wedding trip to St. Lucia, British West Indies, the couple reside in Gainesville.
