Beginning Sunday, Gainesville First United Methodist will kick off its summer lakeside services.

The first of the casual services begins at 8:30 a.m. and will be held just behind the church. Worshipers who would like to arrive by boat also are welcome. Folks can bring lawn chairs, picnic blankets or use the provided wooden benches.

Also, only on church property, guests can tune to 90.3-FM to hear the sermon.

The lakeside services with the Rev. Dr. Terry Walton will continue through the last Sunday in September.
