Gainesville High School graduate Hank Gerrell, 18, recently spearheaded a project to build six Little Free Libraries on the southside of Gainesville, including one (pictured) in front of the home of late Gainesville educator Fralil Cheek Walker. (Photo courtesy Ron Gerrell)
The libraries were built in Walker’s honor by a young man that, though he never had the opportunity to meet her, now furthers her legacy of learning by providing multiple ways to access the gift of reading.
