We are at the beginning of a new year and probably some have started their new year’s resolution. Now perhaps others have already stopped or revised their resolutions.

We have a wonderful opportunity to really make a change in our lives in a much more impactful way than simply losing a few pounds or revising spending habits. We can make a huge impact on the lives of others and ourselves. Are we people who express God in how we live our lives or people who are wallowing in misery and seeking others to join us?

We can really begin the new year with a new attitude. We are called to be a Godly people who are willing to express the one who loves us. That should be a joyful expression if we truly believe that God loves us. We live in a world that desperately needs the face and love of God lived out in us.

I wonder if we realize the impact we have on other people, good or bad? We can truly work to build one another up in how we interact and express ourselves in our daily lives. We can also be a people who tear people down and not even realize it, if we are not expressing and being Christ to them.

The choice is ours. God can truly do amazing things in our lives if we let God work. Perhaps this year can be a new beginning to really make a positive difference in ourselves and in the world in which we live.

Even if we just start with one person at a time, and that first person needs to be us, the world can be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit being lived out by us. We should all be praying for a softer and more loving heart and to strive to live the love of God in us with all we meet.
