Shannon Carnes, an Athens-Clarke County teacher and author of the book "The Multiplication Miracle," will lead a seminar Saturday for parents and teachers on how to teach her curriculum.

Carnes' method teaches multiplication tables in multisensory ways. Saturday's seminar, which is $30, includes a copy of Carnes' book and handouts. Ava White, owner of Ava White Tutorials which is sponsoring the event, says the approach to teaching multiplication tables is so easy, even parents can implement the system at home with just a bit of instruction from Carnes.
