Pet owners seeking an affordable way to care for their four-legged friends will have their chance this weekend.

The Humane Society of Northeast Georgia will conduct a rabies and wellness clinic from 8:30-10 a.m. Saturday, March 21, at 845 W. Ridge Road, in Gainesville.

The humane society staff will provide low-cost rabies shots and vaccinations to pet owners as well as microchip their furry friends. Flea and tick control products will be available.

The clinic costs $10 per shot and vaccine, $20 per microchip and $15 for a one-month supply of flea and tick product.

No appointments are needed; however, puppies and kittens must be at least 3 months old for rabies vaccinations.

All pets must be in a carrier or securely leashed. All Northeast Georgia pet owners are welcome at this event. No residency or income restrictions apply.
