“200,000,000 Horsemen” is the title of this work by Gainesville, Fla., artist Robert Roberg that is among the 90 works by Southern folk artists on display at the Mason-Scharfenstein Museum of Art at Piedmont College in Demorest.
A major exhibit of folk art that captures the spirit of summertime tent revivals is on display at Piedmont College through July 20. “Give Me that Old Time Religion” is the title of the largest show to date at the new Mason-Scharfenstein Museum of Art in Demorest. More than 90 works, including, paintings, sculpture, quilts and ceramics represent more than 50 of the Southeast’s leading folk artists.
