Residents can spread holiday cheer to a child in need by mailing an Operation Christmas Child shoebox this year. Sponsored by the nondenominational Christian organization Samaritan’s Purse, Operation Christmas Child supports impoverished or suffering children around the world through gifts and evangelical ministry. Previous donations have impacted communities in Paraguay, Namibia, Peru and the Philippines.
