Helping Hands Covered Bridge Ministries would like your help Saturday as the group gathers for its fall leaves cleanup project in the community.

The group will meet to form teams at 9:30 a.m. Saturday behind Westminster Presbyterian Church.

The groups will then head out into the community to rake, blow leaves and deliver baked goods.

"This is our fourth year and third year with other churches," said Debra Folsom, director of Helping Hands Covered Bridge Ministries. "We’ll be handing them home-baked goodies ... We hand them a bag that tells them all the ministries that are involved. We do each of these households twice in the fall season; we just add to it when God provides more workers."

Folsom, who is a member at Lanier Hills Church, added that her ministry visits with families all through the year and in the spring will head back to the same households and deliver mulch and other outdoor decorative gardening supplies.

After the community project today, there will be a pizza party for volunteers from 12:15 to 1 p.m. in the Westminster Fellowship Hall.

Westminster Presbyterian Church is located at 1397 Thompson Bridge Road in Gainesville.
