Air Force Airman Jennifer M. Burson has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

She is the daughter of Tabytha and Sammy D. Burson Jr. of Gainesville.

Her grandfather, Sammy D. Burson Sr., served in Vietnam and her great-grandfather, Barney C. Burson, is a veteran of World War II. Great uncles Melvin L. Burson was a Vietnam veteran and Willie Bernard Burson was a veteran of World War II, where he was a recipient of the Asiatic Pacific Service medal with two bronze stars, Meritorious Unit award, Philippine Liberation ribbon, Good Conduct medal and the World War II Victory medal.
