Two North Georgia students tour Washington, D.C., during summer break

As the Washington Youth Tour celebrates its 50th Anniversary, two North Georgia students participated in the event this year. Students selected as delegates for WYT were Betsy Barrett of North Hall High School and Ian McGaughey of Jackson County Comprehensive High School. While on the tour, McGaughey competed for the Youth Leadership Council and was selected as a top five finalist from Georgia’s 109 WYT delegates.
