The Johnson High School band attended the Lake Lanier Tournament of Bands recently at Chestatee High School. Highlights of the tournament included unit ratings of superior for the drum line, majorettes, dance line and drum major. Johnson’s majorettes and dance line placed first in AAA competition and first overall in the Gold division. Drum major Twyla Bryant placed second overall in the AAA division.
Wayne Farms donated money to help Lula Elementary School purchase supplies for the school year, focusing specifically on science lab kits for each grade level. Other uses for the money include new flags and a set of hand-held radios for teachers to use during recess.
