Noel Tredinnick recently visited North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega and spoke to the advanced conducting class and rehearsed with the university’s Chamber Orchestra and NGC&SU Singers. Tredinnick is currently organist and director of music at All Souls Cathedral in London and professor of music at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He also has worked with the BBC orchestra and chorus and has presented numerous music programs aired by the BBC.
Cadet Patricia Roselyn Thibodeau of Clermont has been named to the dean’s list at The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, for fall 2007. She also received a gold star for achieving a grade point average of 3.7 or higher. Thibodeau is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard R. Thibodeau of Clermont. James Crumley Walters, a freshman at Hampden-Sydney College in Hampden-Sydney, Va., has been named to the dean’s list for fall 2007. To receive this honor, students must achieve a 3.3 grade point average. Walters is the son of Deborah Syfan and James M. Walters, both of Gainesville. The following area students recently graduated from Valdosta State University in Valdosta: Yoric Erb-Summers of Alto and Stephanie Ryan Runkle of Buford. Lacey Cochran of Flowery Branch has been named to the president’s list at Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs. Daniel W. Stockwell of Flowery Branch has been named to the dean’s list at North Greenville University in Tigerville, S.C.The following students were recently named to the dean’s list at Samford University in Samford, Ala.: Bruce E.
