Lanier Technical College instructors recently nominated students for the Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership. A screening committee of administrators and instructors at Lanier Tech will now review all of the nominations and interview each of the students. After the nominees have been ranked, four finalists will be chosen to compete for the title of Lanier Technical College GOAL winner. One week later, a committee made up of members of the business community will evaluate the four finalists to choose the winner. The Lanier Tech GOAL winner will compete in May against GOAL winners from other Georgia technical colleges during GOAL Week in Atlanta. The state GOAL winner will serve as a spokesperson for the Technical College System of Georgia and will receive a new automobile.
