Wauka Mountain Elementary School has received a $750 grant from the ExxonMobil Educational Alliance program from Clermont IGA, Clermont. The ExxonMobil Educational Alliance is designed to provide Exxon and Mobil retailers with an opportunity to invest in the future of their communities through educational grants to neighborhood schools. P&B Petroleum Company, located in Cleveland, the local ExxonMobil distributor, along with the dealer met eligibility criteria before being awarded this grant.

Chou Thaoof of Braselton was named to the fall 2010 dean's list at Oglethorpe University. Thaoof earned this distinction by reaching at least a 3.5 grade-point average while maintaining a full-time class schedule for the semester.


The following students were named to the dean's list at Mercer University for the fall 2010 semester:
