Northeast Georgia Veterans Society President Ron Webb presented local artist Luciano Georgescu with a certificate of appreciation on June 25 at the opening summer art exhibit at Helen Arts & Heritage. Luciano is a featured artist in “Summer Dreamin’” exhibit, along with photographer Carolyn Gaik. The local veterans group initiated a project recently involving the design of a memorial monument honoring those members of the armed forces from White County who were killed in action.
