GHP is a residential program for talented high school juniors and seniors, administered by the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement and funded by the state.

Nearly 3,000 students interviewed and auditioned over two weekends in January and February and 817 finalists were chosen.

The program takes place for four weeks beginning June 21 at the campus of Valdosta State University.

Students spend mornings in their major area of nomination and afternoons studying a topic of their choice.
