Honor Society inducts Northeast Georgia members

The following local residents recently were initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.

Inductees attending the University of Georgia were Jessica Thomas of Braselton and Kim Nguyen and Warren Smith, both of Gainesville.

New members inducted at the Georgia College & State University were Chloe Barrett and Nicholas Morelli, both of Cleveland, Mikalyn DeFoor of Gainesville and Kayla Turner of Hoschton.

Brandon Smith of Jefferson was initiated at Columbus State University.

Membership is by invitation and requires a nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors, having at least 72 semester hours, are eligible for membership.

Regional events
