The Gainesville Lions Club is calling upon residents, businesses and previous donors for its spring Children's Theater.

Generous contributions from the community to the project provide funding for sight, hearing and other local Lions projects.

Those who make a donation to the Children's Theater will receive a free family pass to the show, which will be held on Saturday April 21 at the Gainesville Civic Center.

The Children's Theater is a family friendly, kid-friendly show, featuring a professional magician. Show times will be 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Area businesses that support the Children's Theater make it possible for children to come to the show who otherwise might not be able to attend. It is an opportunity to help Lions do the work that benefits fellow citizens.

Since 1934, the Gainesville Lions Club has been working to help people in need and to make this a better community through service.

To get involved, applications are available for membership consideration from the Gainesville Lions Club.
