Havalyn Bennett, Rennie Stephens, Janie Owen and Karen Ellis are the recipients of Good News Clinics’ Sam Poole Volunteer of the Year Award.

Affectionately known as “The Thursday Crew,” these tireless volunteers have been giving their time at Good News Clinics for a combined 30 years. They are all retired teachers with 120 combined years of teaching experience and are an uplifting as well as entertaining group.

Their duties include preparing patient files for Good News’ medical assistants and staff to use during each patient appointment. With many appointments each week, this helps free GNC staff from clerical responsibilities.
