Gladys Jarvis of Clermont recently celebrated her 95th birthday at Longstreet Cafe in Gainesville. She was joined by her five children, their spouses and her grandchildren, and got a surprise visit from Will Chamblee, Jarvis' new great-grandchild.

Allison Havill Todd, owner of Allison Havill Todd Interiors, recently spoke to the Gainesville Newcomers Club. Allison Havill Todd Interiors is the only design firm in the North Atlanta area that has been featured in national books and magazines.

Cole Burchardt, son of Tony and Thelda Burchardt, was recently honored at the Georgia State Conference of the Daughters of the American Revolution as the state winner of the fifth-grade American History Essay award.

Cole was also honored by the local chapter during their awards tea in March. He is home schooled by his parents.
