Williams presented a program at the recent GAL meeting on her handmade book arts, a very unique, creative form of art. The award winners for the Georgia Art League 2012 Spring Exhibition, currently on display at the Quinlan Visual Arts Center, were announced during the meeting. As judged by John Amoss, art instructor at Gainesville State College and North Georgia College, the award winners are as follows: First place: Jeanne Thompkins, "Blue" a photograph. Second place: Ben Shakir, "Winter Morning" a pastel. Third place: Marie-Helene Gardelle "Gemini" a clay sculpture. Honorable Mentions: Heidi Bowman "Resurrection" a cloisonne, and "Arty Landscape" a scraffito; Susan Wilkerson "Intent" an acrylic painting, Robin Smith "Bluebird Nest" a clay sculpture, and Judy Black "Colorlinas" an oil painting.
