The Medical Center Foundation at Northeast Georgia Medical Center recently welcomed Elpida, the Angel of Hope sculpture located in Anne’s Garden outside the North Patient Tower at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Commissioned by Georgia artist Jean Westmacott, Elpida is 6 feet tall atop a boulder at the base of the garden’s steps. Elpida is the Greek word for hope, a key component of healing.

Anne’s Garden was made possible through a signature gift to The Medical Center Foundation by longtime hospital supporters Anne and George Thomas.
