Georgia Council recognizes area Eagle Scout

Eagle Scout Jackson Dockery, left, of Troop 48 in Cleveland was awarded the Boy Scouts of America’s William T. Hornaday Award by Northeast Georgia Council Advancement Chairman, Ed Foster, on Oct. 21. The BSA Hornaday Award recognizes outstanding efforts in natural resource conservation and environmental protection. Jackson’s Eagle Scout Project involved working with the U.S. Forest Service and Foothills Chapter of Trout Unlimited on brook trout habitat restoration in the Chattahoochee National Forest.
