The Gainesville Jaycees concluded its latest Empty Stocking Fund project Monday with a Christmas party at Skate Country in Gainesville. The Empty Stocking Fund, started in 1955, provides clothing, shoes, toys and food to those children and families who might otherwise go without during the holidays, and 220 Hall County families were helped this year. Families were also provided with a week’s worth of food donated from J&J Foods.
