DAR gets proclamation for American Indian Heritage month
Regent Helen Powell and American Indian chairwoman Cleda Locey, both of the Col. William Candler chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, accept the proclamation by the Hall County Commission declaring November as American Indian Heritage Month. Locey noted the American Indians were helpful to early settlers and have served the United States in every war since the American Revolution.
