Five students from the Da Vinci Academy placed in the Georgia River of Words Poetry and Art Project competition. Sponsored by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, River of Words is part of the Georgia Project WET and the Georgia Center for the Book. The contest was started in 1995 by U.S. Poet Laureate Robert Hass, who still judges the competition.
