Centennial Arts Academy wins essay contest
Centennial Arts Academy is the state winner of the Ruffin Reading Bowl Essay Contest based on the team’s essay on “Turtle in Paradise.” Centennial was notified May 8 by the Ruffin Reading Bowl Committee. The Reading Bowl Team is led by media specialist Kathy Anglin and teachers Dallas Thompson and Kelly Kennedy. Team members are coach Kathy Anglin, assistant coach Dallas Thompson and students Marisa Woo, Bryce Sinnett, Lance Robinson, Emilie Flynn, Rowe Wilson, Jackson Hickerson, David Woodard, Camille Calkins, Payton Shifflett and Price Embry.
