Bible fellowship class makes mats for homeless Crafters in the Lanier Griffith Bible Fellowship class at Blackshear Baptist Church made 10 sleep mats for the homeless, recently. The mats are crafted out of plastic shopping bags, which are cut into 2 1/2-inch-wide strips and looped together to crochet a 6-foot-by-3-foot mat. A strap is made to loop around the mat and be carried similar to a bedroll. Connie Millwood, far right, made seven unique mats with different designs and color. Pictured with her, from left, are Betty Griffith, Cathy Shaffer and Debbie Coker. Bible fellowship class makes mats for homeless
