Congratulations to Corey O’Quinn, whose film “How I Met My Mermaid” won first place in the Fresh Films competition.

O’Quinn was one of a handful of teens chosen to spend a week in Orlando, Fla., this past summer to film a superhero-themed movie as part of an annual contest.

The final round of voting wrapped up the second week of September.
