Christopher D. and Dee Ann Wood of Buford announce the engagement of their daughter Laura Christine Wood to Jason Larry Morris, son of C. Larry and Joy L. Morris of Flowery Branch.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Janet B. Wood of Avondale Estates, Louise Black of Loganville, the late Ted Wood and the late Dave Black.

She is a 2003 graduate of West Hall High School in Oakwood. She graduated in 2007 from Gainesville State College with an associate’s degree in early childhood education.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late James R. and Peggy Alcorn and the late Clifford W. and Dorothy C. Morris.

He is a 2001 graduate of West Hall High School in Oakwood. He is attending Gainesville State College pursuing a degree in engineering. He is employed as a draftsman with Foresite Group Inc. in Norcross.

The couple plans to wed June 14, 2008, at The Arts Council in Gainesville.
