Christopher and Dee Ann Wood of Buford announce the engagement of their daughter Laura Christine Wood to Andres Lopez, son of Mercedes Suarez Lopez of Suwanee and the late Angel Lopez Lopez.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Martha Black of Buford and the late Dave Black, and the late Ted and Janet Wood.

She is a 2003 graduate of West Hall High School in Oakwood. She graduated in 2010 from Gainesville State College in Oakwood with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. She is employed as a third-grade teacher by Hall County School System in Gainesville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Jose Benito Suarez Delgado, the late Marta Carbia Moya, Alberto Lopez Gonzalez of Aguada, Puerto Rico, and Gregoria Lopez Villanueva of Aguada, Puerto Rico.

He is a 2002 graduate of North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee. He graduated in 2008 from Clayton State University in Morrow with a bachelor’s degree in information technology. He is employed as a TPF software developer by Delta Air Lines in Atlanta.

The couple plan to wed May 23, 2015, at Lynnhaven on Lanier in Buford.
