Maj. Gen. James L. Terry and Mrs. Julie Grogan Terry of Fort Bliss, Texas, announce the engagement of their daughter Miss Julianne Aurelia Terry to Capt. James Vincent Braudis, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Carpenter of Mobile, Ala. and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Braudis of Van Cleave, Miss.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Grogan of Gainesville and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold Terry.

She is a 2004 graduate of Leesville High School in Leesville, La. She is pursuing a degree in nursing from the University of Texas at El Paso in El Paso, Texas. She is employed as a nurse technician with Providence Memorial Hospital in El Paso. She is a member of Kappa Delta sorority.

The groom-elect is a 2001 graduate of Theodore High School in Mobile, Ala. He graduated in 2005 from the University of South Alabama with a bachelor's degree in history. He is a captain in the U.S. Army and currently attending the U.S. Army Captain's Career course at Fort Knox, Ky.

The couple plan to wed Dec. 27, 2008, at First Baptist Church in Gainesville.
