Patty and Michael Weber of Dawsonville and Michael Tarnacki of Chesterfield, Mich., announce the engagement of their daughter Amber Marie Tarnacki to Charles Phillip Greene Jr., son of Christina and Mark Smith of Dahlonega and Chip and Peggy Greene of Flovilla.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Miki Tarnacki of Mount Clemens, Mich., and Bonnie and John Cornish of St. Clair Shores, Mich. She is the great-granddaughter of Irene Weber of Detroit, Mich.

She is a 2003 graduate of Lumpkin County High School in Dahlonega. She is pursuing a degree Gainesville State College in Oakwood in early childhood education. She is employed as a registrar with Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Cecil and Betty Coe of Dahlonega, Marie and Jerry Norton of Paulding and Phil and Sheila Greene of Monticello.

He is a 2003 graduate of Lumpkin County High School in Dahlonega. He is employed as a deputy with the Lumpkin County Sheriff's Department in Dahlonega.

The couple plan to wed Sept. 26, 2008, at Forest Hills Resort in Dahlonega.
