Mr. and Mrs. Roger Edwin Sulhoff of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Kathryn Sulhoff, to Bryan Douglas Parker, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Joseph Cassidy Jr. of Greenville and Mr. and Mrs. Randall Parker of Luverne, Ala.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Austin Michael and the late Mr. and Mrs. Roger Almond Sulhoff.

She is a 2003 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. She graduated in 2007 from Brenau University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in mass communication. She is employed as the executive director at the Alabama Association of Conservation Districts in Montgomery, Ala.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Duncan of Greenville, Ala., the late Mr. and Mrs. Norman Parker, the late Mary Charles Cassidy and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Cassidy of Anniston, Ala., and Mrs. Maria Vanderhoeven of Anniston, Ala., and the late Dr. D. V. Vanderhoeven.

He is a 2000 graduate of Greenville Academy in Greenville, Ala. He graduated in 2005 from Auburn University Montgomery with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and in 2013 from the University of Southern Mississippi with a master’s degree in economic and workforce development. He is employed as the economic development representative at Power South Energy in Destin, Fla.

The couple plan to wed May 6, 2017, at First Baptist Church in Montgomery, Ala.
