The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Roy and Ruth Tallent and the late George and Barbara Stump.
She is a 2004 graduate of Parkwood High School in Monroe, N.C. She graduated in 2008 from Appalachian State University with a degree in health promotion. She is employed as a donor recruitment representative at the American Red Cross in Asheville, N.C.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Ed and Patty Haupt of Monroe, N.C., and Bette Williams of Bagdad, Ky., and the late Bob Williams.
He is a 2000 graduate of Parkwood High School in Monroe, N.C. He graduated in 2007 from Appalachian State University with a degree in recreation management. He is employed as a local sort supervisor by the United Parcel Service in Asheville, N.C.
The couple plan to wed May 3, 2014, at Fontaine Vineyards in Leicester, N.C.
